We had a long-overdue conference with Graeme's teacher's yesterday, and the good news is that Mr. I-Can't-Read has been put in the Gifted & Talented program. He is doing better with organization and attitude, his only real stumbling blocks. At home, we have seen an increase in maturity as well, though he is still all over the place with his stuff. We could all do with a refresher course in organizational habits, so I can't give him too much grief.In the picture above he is reading The Lightening Thief, and when I mentioned this to his teachers, one of them was shocked, nearly into silence. What can I say? It's a good book, and blows the reading book selections away.
