grow, little garden

We spent this weekend on flowers in anticipation of spring. The white simplicity hedge has gone in the ground, and there are still double knockout roses and forsythia to plant, as well as the magnolia and the second plum tree. David and I worked ourselves into quite the stupor by Sunday night. Many thanks to Graeme (and Evander-cat) for the help, and to Ethan for the photos.

We discovered a new-to-us sushi place in Roanoke and all four of us really enjoyed our meals. David and I split the First Date boat, and it was not only delicious, but beautifully prepared and sweetly romantic, too.
