O. My. WOW. When I needed a new book to read, I oh-so-innocently opened Max Barry's Company, solely on the strength of loving some of his other works. As fate would have it, this was the perfect moment for me to read this. Out of IT for over a year, desperately sending out resumes and talking with recruiters everywhere, this has me laughing and groaning and nodding in recognition.
Beautifully done, from the elevator that moves from large to small numbers as it ascends as a way to motivate employees to the marketing department that is winning recognition for cost cutting by ceasing all work, this is a rich feast of the all too imaginable.
