Monday reflections

Pilates on Sunday kicked my butt (and my legs, and my abs, and my back, and my arms, and well, you get the point) and I ended up napping through the block party. The girls and I got gelato after the workout, and it was delicious. There isn't a class again next week because of Memorial Day, but then a new six-week session starts and I am looking forward to it.

I was still warm when I woke up from the nap, and I made couscous tabouli and used the fresh mint from the recently-potted plants. Wow, the peppermint is strong! If you have need of a peppermint to use in a decocotion or to infuse an oil, let me know: this strain is potent.

Trivia: Glenmorangie is Conner MacLeod's favorite as well.

I was all set to read the second Kane Chronicle. I really was. But then I took one eensy-weensy little peek at Ready Player One and I was hooked. Thank you, Ethan, for another wonderful recommendation.

The recently renamed Growler's (previously Awful Arthur's) is truly awful. Pool afterwards was pretty fun, though.

And, randomly: May Day seems like so much more than three weeks ago.
