It's beginning to look a lot like home

So much wonderful stuff has happened in the past ten days that it seems like a year, or perhaps a lifetime, ago that the boys and I moved in.

I went on a spiritual retreat. It was a slice of holiness and I feel truly blessed not only by the experience but also by the loving friends and family who made the trip far richer than I could have dreamed.

Report cards came out. Both boys made the A-B honor roll and were described as delightful. This calls for celebration, and we are looking forward to stocking the pantry with whatever takes our fancy, getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We deserve a bit of pampering this holiday.

My restoration dental work is nearly complete, just in time for Ethan to begin his overdue visits to the orthodontist. I'm sensing Graeme won't be far behind, and I'm glad it is getting done.

We saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I on Friday, and truly can't wait for the next installment.

Ethan and I both finished The Lost Hero and Graeme is almost done with it. Look for a review from one or more of us at Shelf Notes later this month.

Amazon has decided to make my life easier than ever by letting me pay directly from a bank account. Scary, but I like it. Our first two boxes will be here Wednesday afternoon.
