Sunday with a cold

Yesterday was filled with adventure.

Chocolates. [I bought a box of a specially-selected assortment. It’s mostly gone, now. But that’s ok. I planked. It’s what I do.]

Wildflour at Towers had a daily special with steak. [Martini Steak, and it was amazing. With risotto and sautéed vegetables on the side. Cooked just the way I ordered, too. A-MAZ-ING.]

Then we saw The Hobbit, all three hours of it, and it wasn’t nearly long enough. I know, I know, many folks are panning the film, or skipping it altogether. I really liked it. [And Royal, I’m saying, "Bring back the Twizzlers. Red Vines are not the same. They are like bubblegum that you swallow. It is weird. We want Twizzlers, please. Thank you. That is all."]

Today I have a sore throat and the sniffles and I don’t want to do much of anything. I skipped Pilates. Of course that led to cleaning out the fridge, making Cornish hen and sipping lots (and lots) of fresh ginger tea.

I made a half-hearted attempt to mop the kitchen floor. When I realized I was just moving dirt around, I stopped and threw in (down?) the towel, and accepted that it has happened: I am sick.

So tonight I'm snuggled up in the recliner, knitting while I wait for the freezing rain that will most certainly delay schools in the morning, watching The Following, which I will follow with the three episodes of Revenge that I haven't seen yet. When that is done, I'm heading to bed.
