Still Uncool

The ocean surface temperature went into new territory in April, just as it was supposed to be entering a cooling phase. This was concerning then, and even though the temperatures are down, they are still markedly up, continuing along in record temperatures.

Wherever your hills are, now might be a good time to run to them.

Brain Fog

Being an academic with a TBI is bizarre, weird, and unsettling. Like Billy Pilgrim, I came unstuck in time at the moment of my injury. A. H. Reaume writes beautifully and accurately about the atemporal condition emanating from a neurodivergent temporal lobe, and I love her for it.

What if we need to spend our energy tracing the future? Analyzing the not yet?

That is craft theory. A naming of a thing to call it into being. A kind of summoning.

Supplemental illnesses

I need someone in my life who reminds me that there will never be an iron supplement that doesn't make me sicker than a dog.
