Because I simply can’t lay off the weird-as-hell police procedural, and because Netflix is seemingly on a mission to keep me satisfied, add Marcella to the list. It’s beyond weird, and I loved how we, the audience, knew so much less than the characters. It’s a nice flip that I haven’t seen done except in Playing By Heart (one of the best ensemble cast movies ever, by the way). After watching the season, I’m not certain if I want or need to know more, and that’s pretty compelling in its own right.

Review: Paranoid
Flat out, Paranoid was worth every minute. Don’t miss the opportunity to get lost in this lovely bit of Netflix Original Programming. Each and every one of these characters created a space in my heart as well as in my mind. In between episodes, I would find myself wondering what might unfurl next, and it was always a delight to set the time aside. This little bit of murder mystery in “our little market town” in out of the way England is delightful. Bonus points for including some fantastic images of Dusseldorf, and making me want to go visit.
