The boys got workstation computers for Christmas, something that was long overdue as we were all trying to wrangle keyboard time for our increasingly online based homework and research. Vivian is at her dad's today, and with the teenagers nestled snugly in front of the screens in their rooms, it has felt as though I have had the house completely to myself. I haven't seen hide nor hair of them, not even to come out to eat. I'm not certain if they have so much as gone to the bathroom.
I've showered, read, watched a bit of The Daily Show, done a couple logic puzzles without once hearing "Hey, Mom. . . . " It's bizarre. I like it.
