The Week That Was

May has started off with much energy and activity, a delightful change from April's frustration and futility that seemed to pervade even the simplest of tasks.

Here's a little list of what went on this first week of May:
Gardening: Mary introduced me to her favorite nursery, and Graeme, Ethan and I each picked out a bunch of plants. They have now been potted up and are contentedly growing in the backyard, being all just the height of spring-edging-to-summer.

Education: I have the books and have started the class for getting my Six Sigma certification. I'm looking forward to the class and to the possibilities that certification will open up.

Activities: I've been having a lovely time deepening my friendship with Mary & Gunny, and exploring some new and not-used-recently activities. Rock climbing, chess, gardening, coffeeshops, cooking. It has been delightful at every turn.

Hardware: I've moved to droid. I have a new phone and for the most part, I really like it. It's hard to beat the Curve II, though. It was a jeep of a phone.

Outside my window: We finally had some sunshine, and it came in the form of a heat wave. Today has been grey and misty though, and is a favorite and probably a welcome respite for the plants.

Quotes of the Week:
  • "I even like your moxie."
  • "Seriously? World of Warcraft?!?!?"
