This year saw the birth of Vivian and settling in to the new location. It was all quite hectic and sleep-deprived and wonderful. Despite all that, I was still able to do some reading. This year saw a series of series, most of them wonderful, though the one by Amanda Hocking is a waste of digital (the best I could say about them is "At least they aren't Twilight"). At a mere sixteen entries, this might be the shortest reading list I've ever had for a year, but it certainly was a delightful one.
I'm on book five of The Song of Ice and Fire series, and all in all it has been a good year. I'm facing the coming holidays with more optimism and joy than I've had since 2008.
