rainy day

The rain has been glorious. Yesterday was a slow-moving day, and by the time I needed to go to town to pick up the boys, I felt as though I had just gotten the hang of the whole morning thing.

After pick-up, we all trucked to the mall to get our hair done. Ethan chose to go with a bleach-out (better than black, let me assure you). The rest of us just got basic, boring old trims. Despite that, I love the way my hair feels, and getting it done is still a totally pampering experience. Michelle, our hairdresser, told us all about her pending trip to Italy, and we are appropriately excited and envious. We talked about going to Milan and picking up Versace, Venice and all the food, Rome, and the fact that once she gets there she will probably meet some awesome Italian man and never come back to the states again.

Afterward, we went to dinner at my mom's. Meatloaf, cheesy potatoes, and all the comforts of a classic home-cooked meal. Given the recent downpour, we decided to forgo a pick-up of the last of some of my stuff that is in storage at her place, and just enjoyed the company instead. All in all, a very pleasant evening.

Today i'm working on the Craig County Library site. I'm pretty pleased with the results, overall, and hope the folks at the library are as well. I like getting to work on pages again. I'm plugged into sky's smooth jazz stream and feeling like a real person.
